Out of Character (OOC)
In Character (IC)
[li]Remember, it's 1933. There aren't cellphones, bath & body works, battery dinosaurs or anything like that! Try to keep it as realistic as possible. If you need some help there's lots of info found here.
[/li][li]You can have as many characters as you desire, as long as they are kept active! If you don't have time for some of your characters and would like to put them up for adoption so another member can use them, contact Reld or Emily and one of us will move them.
[/li][li]There should only be one account per member. This helps with confusion of who's character is whos.
[/li][li]Use our form, found here, when submitting your characters.
[/li][li]Please, no Mary Sues or Gary Stews! These are characters that have no flaws (are pretty much perfect) or are really cliched - the klutzy girl that all the guys swarm to. You'd probably recognize one of them best if I pointed to a certain Bella... >>
Please just try to make your characters have original personalities, okay?
[/li][li]It's the depression. So pretty much everyone but that old granny that didn't trust banks and stuffed all her money under the mattress (...don't get any ideas) is broke. Having lots of rich people in this RP would be really unrealistic, so try to keep those characters at a minimum.
[/li][li]Trust me, there weren't people running around with rainbow colored hair calling themselves "scene kids" or whatever. None of those such "titles" existed in the '30s.
[/li][li]IC, make your posts at least 100 words long. That should be two paragraphs. Use the word count tool, located at the bottom of the message box after the post reply button, to keep track of your word count.
To help come up with words try describing what's happening around the characters; is it raining, are there birds singing? What is your character thinking? What are their senses picking up?
[/li][li]It's best to proof-read and use spellcheck on your posts. At least try quickly skimming through what you've written to make sure it makes some sense.
[/li][li]No godmodding or powerplaying. This is when you control the actions of a character that is not your own.
Like, "Jojo ran up to his buddy Walter and whacked his head off with a light saber."
You've gotta at least give Walter a chance to defend himself!

- Obey the staff. What we say goes.
- Keep it rated PG-13.
- Swearing is allowed, but don't overuse it - as in every other word is a cuss.
- Show respect to your fellow members.
- You are allowed to "stylize" your posts, but please don't use really bright colors that would be hard on the eyes.
- No fighting! If you have an argument with someone give them and hug and apologize or else get off our board.
- No chatspeak.
- Don't ignore people. Try to make everyone on this forum welcome, okay?Advertising
- Don't post your ads anywhere but on the advertisements board.
- Don't advertise in our chatbox! It's rude, and no one's going to visit your site when you're breaking one of our rules, anyways.
- Make sure to give your staff loooove! xD
